Ancient Maya (Autumn)

From September to December, we learned about the Ancient Maya civilization!

Please take a look below at some of the work we've completed.

        We completed an Ancient Maya food project: look at the wonderful temple and those delicious truffles!

We made Ancient Maya 'God's Eyes'. The Mayas believed (and modern Maya people still believe) that these protected their houses from evil spirits and the underworld. 

We used our weaving skills to make the designs - it was tricky but we persevered.

We used Jenga blocks, Lego bricks and multi-link cubes to make our own Ancient Maya temples!

We've loved learning about the Ancient Maya. Our next topic (after Christmas) is ANCIENT GREECE!
