Making a model of the digestive system 5/2/20.

8/1/20 - Identifying different types of teeth by carefully sculpting them from salt dough and labelling them

Our topic this term is 'Humans and Other Animals.'

For the first half of the term we will be learning about teeth and eating. This will include: Identifying and naming different types of teeth and their functions, as well as how to keep them healthy; learning the names and functions of different parts of the digestive system; constructing and interpreting different food chains and identifying producers, predators and prey.

During the second half of the term we will learn that animals, including humans, need the right types and amount of nutrition, and that they cannot make their own food; they get nutrition from what they eat. We will also learn about the function of the skeleton and muscles for support, protection and movement
