English page!
In our English lessons we learn all about punctuation, grammar and spellings. We read a wide variety of books and texts, including fiction and non-fiction, and we even create our own books throughout the year!
In Guided Reading we look at vocabulary, how characters feel, retrieving information and even make predictions about what we think might happen next.
We have a large selection of banded reading books which we change as often as possible after reading them at home or in class with a grown up.

We wrote very important letters to Santa this week in English.
We know he is going to be impressed with our capital letters, full stops and beautiful handwriting!
17.11.20
We had a very interesting lesson talking about following instructions to wash our hands properly. The children did an experiment using glue and glitter instead of germs, finding out the best way to wash their hands. Have a look at the photos above to see the messy results!

We had so much fun taking part in a class role play of 'Rosie's Hat'.
The children then used their experience to help them to retell the story in their writing, with super results.
Well done everyone!

We have had lots of fun acting out the story 'Peace at Last.' We are going to retell the story in our writing books later in the week. Have a look at us in action!
