Parent Forum
Parent/Carer Forum 2022
What is the Parent/Carer Forum?
The Parent/Carer Forum is a working partnership between parents/carers and the school. It is a valuable opportunity to share ideas, concerns, to celebrate successes and to make suggestions for improvement.
The aims of the Parent/Carer Forum will be to:
· work together to improve the education provided for our children
· share information, knowledge and skills
· meet in a mutually supportive environment
· further improve communications between parents/carers and staff/governors
The parent forum does not have any statutory responsibilities, duties or powers in the school.
Who can take part in the Parent/Carer Forum?
Any parent/carer of children currently at Rosliston CE Primary School is welcome to join any Parent/Carer Forum meeting. The Acting Headteacher will host the meeting, supported by teaching and support staff. Other members of our school community may also attend the meetings, depending on the agenda items and when the school feels it would be appropriate.
Why should I be part of the Parent/Carer Forum?
Participating in the Parent/Carer Forum gives you, the parent/carer, an opportunity to meet with other parents/carers to have your say on what the school is doing well, and to contribute constructive ideas about how things could be improved.
How often will the Parent/Carer Forum meet?
Moving forward (depending on the success of the first forum), we intend to hold forums once every term. We're holding the first Parent/Carer Forum soon after Easter 2022 (date and time TBC). The forums should last no longer than an hour. Each term, we aim to hold the Parent/Carer Forum meeting at different times to try and enable as many different parents/carers to attend.
What will be discussed at the meetings?
Anything related to improving the school and further developing the partnership between the school and parents/carers. The meetings will be informal and are an opportunity for an open discussion. Minutes of the meetings will be taken and these will be accessible on the school's website, under the 'Parent Forum' page.
The Parent/Carer Forum is not an opportunity to discuss concerns or complaints involving individual children, families or members of staff. Parents/carers wishing to discuss specific issues should contact the school office.
How can I raise an issue?
Come to the meeting and bring it up during the open discussion. If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, but want to share your ideas, please use the Microsoft Form below or send an email to the school office. Thank you!
If you have any questions about our Parent/Carer Forum, please contact the school office.
We're looking forward to working closely with our families to continue driving our school forward with positivity and vigour.
